
Our database of volunteers varies from people who are available most hours, to some who are only available one or two days per week. Whatever your availability, we are very grateful for your time.
We rely heavily on volunteers when we run large functions such as our Slowdown football matches at AAIMI Stadium. Our volunteers do a variety of tasks including collecting at the gates, selling merchandise and raffle tickets or showing people to their seats. We also have some volunteers who come into the office and help with administrative tasks when needed.
We send letters to all our volunteers for each separate event outlining what is involved in that particular event. If it isn’t something that you are interested in, or don’t have the time free, that is fine,
you don’t need to reply.
Another way that volunteers are of great assistance is to monitor the collection boxes that we have in shops and businesses throughout South Australia. If you would be able to do this for collection boxes in your area, please let me know. It entails dropping in to see how full the box is and, if required, swapping it for an empty one and bringing the full ones into the Foundation office. Most only need swapping once every 2-3 months.
