The 2012 Rottnest Channel Swim is a 19.7km race starting at Cottesloe Beach, Perth and ending at Thompson's Bay, Rottnest Island. The Swim, which has a rich history dating back to 1956, has now become one of Perth's premiere events. This year, the race will be swum on February 25.James Potter, Jess Stephens, Jono Semmler and Bess Kordic will be competing in this popular Perth event and Little Heroes Foundation is proud to have been nominated by the team as the charity of their choice.As a team of four, James, Jess, Jono and Bess have a support boat and paddlers to keep them going straight and they will take it in turns to swim. The race should take them approximately 7-8 hours depending upon the conditions on the day.
