Woodville West Torrens Football Club and Little Heroes Foundation announce new community-based partnership

Little Heroes Foundation kids check out the new WWTFC guernseys
and get excited about the 2012 Season

In an Australian first, the Woodville West Torrens Football Club (WWTFC) and Little Heroes Foundation have teamed up for a unique community-based partnership that will benefit children living with cancer and serious illness.

The new partnership will see the reigning SANFL Premiers in a new Guernsey (see below) for the 2012 season featuring Little Heroes Foundation's logo in the area traditionally awarded to major sponsors. Although the branding is worth an estimated $30,000, no money will change hands between the two organisations.

The WWTFC have also agreed to donate part-proceeds from all major fundraising events throughout the 2012 and 2013 seasons to Little Heroes Foundation and their ChildFamilyCare program.

Chris McDermott, Chairman of Little Heroes Foundation, is looking forward to the new partnership taking flight in 2012.

"This is an incredibly generous offer of support from the Woodville West Torrens Football Club, that we on behalf of the children and families we represent are very proud to be part of."

"Football Clubs play a major role in the lives of so many families and I cannot congratulate the Eagles enough on understanding they are so much more than just a Football Club. We look forward to working closely with Chris [Davies] and his team to make this a great success for all concerned, and encourage other sporting organisations to adopt a similar approach with their chosen Charities."

With the 2012 season just about ready to kick-off, now is the perfect time to get behind the Eagles and Little Heroes Foundation, join us at Thebarton Oval on Friday 23 March. Find out more about the WWTFC and their upcoming season here.

We encourage all Little Heroes Foundation and Woodville West Torrens supporters to buy a club membership to show their support.
