In August 2007, the foundation was poured to signal the start of the McGuinness McDermott Foundation 'House of Dreams', and in march 2008 the house was sold at auction. Proceeds from the sale went towards improving facilities at the 4th Floor Medical and Newland Wards at the Women's and Children's Hospital
