Its on again in 2009!!!
Celebrating its 10th year of West End Slowdown, The McGuinness McDermott Foundation is pleased to announce the annual clash of Crows and Power footy legends has returned to Adelaide Oval.
The game will also move away from its traditional Labor Day Holiday format to a new and improved night time major event on Monday September 28th, 2 days after the AFL Grand Final.
The evening will feature a star studded line up of legends back at their brilliant best such as debutant players Crows hero Mark Ricciuto and Power champion Michael Wilson along with regular crowd pleasers Tony Modra, Ryan “Fitzy†Fitzgerald, Mark Bickley, Gavin Wanganeen and Matt Primus.
Gates open at 4pm featuring Sporting Clinics and other pre game entertainment ahead of the opening bounce at 7pm.
This year MMF also hope to break a record with the Mascot Race! Were attempting to have a total of 84 mascots run the event at half time to break a guinness world record.
All money raised from this year’s game will go toward establishing a new children’s cancer centre at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and providing services to children and families of children who have survived cancer through the MMF Survivorship Service.
