OFFICIAL E-NEWSLETTER AUGUST 2011

Balfour's Showdown Lunch

The Little Heroes Foundation's Balfour's Showdown Lunch welcomed guests to the National Wine Centre on July 29 to talk all things footy and get excited for the big grudge match between the two South Aussie teams.

Special guests John Cahill and Shaun Rehn took a stroll down memory lane, while current Crows Andy Otten and Richard Douglas and Port stars Jasper Pittard and Alipate Carlile were quizzed about the upcoming match on stage.

A surprise appearance by some of the Little Heroes children excited the audience and helped to kick start the auction which featured some great prizes including tickets to the AFL Grand Final and exclusive passes to the Presidents Cup competition in Melbourne.

Amber joins Little Heroes for City-Bay Fun Run

We've pulled on our sneakers and started our training, and now Olympian Amber Halliday has signed up to join us for this year's City-Bay 6km walk as a part of her recovery from a cycling accident earlier in the year.

She's encouraging friends, family and the general public to join her for the walk where she will be representing Little Heroes Foundation and trying to raise funds and awareness for neurological issues. Find out how to sign up below.

Master's Games

Within two months thousands of athletes will be uniting in Adelaide for the 13th Australian Master's Games, including some familiar faces from the Little Heroes Foundation stable who will be testing their paces in the half marathon.

We've heard along the grapevine that registrations are flooding in and that it's shaping up to be a fantastic event!

Earlybird registrations have now closed but you can still sign up so jump online and register today - all entries received from now on will attract a late fee.  READ MORE>>
